when life feels like a waiting room...

It's okay to wait. It's okay if no one else is and you are. It's okay to be patient. To let things happen as they should, as God has planned. It's okay to wait for the right time, the right moment even if it's not what you want. It's okay to wait. To trust God rather than taking matters into your own hands. To submit to His will rather than relentlessly pursuing your own. It's okay.

It doesn't mean something is wrong with you if you're the only one left waiting. Trust me, you're not the only one left. There is always someone waiting for one thing or another. That's life, isn't it? A waiting game that we're all trying to somehow rush through. But there isn't anything wrong with you.

It's okay if others have moved on but you're still standing here. Right where God has called you for this season. It doesn't mean you'll be here forever. It means you're waiting. You're waiting for the right time. For the time when God takes your hand and moves you forward. You're waiting for the moment when He has divinely appointed it to happen.

Sweet one, your time is not running out, In fact, God has numbered your days, and since you don't what that number is, don't worry about it. Sure, it might feel like you're getting too old. That all the good ones are gone. That the clock is ticking down. That it will never be your turn, but it will. Your time will come if you will wait. If you will trust the Lord and look to Him. That way, you don't run past it without notice because you're eyes are fixed elsewhere. You'll recognize it. You'll know it. And God will get you there if you will faithfully follow.

"I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope." - Psalm 130:5
